Ensembles

Marching Kings

The flagship ensemble at Lewis Cass High School, the Marching Kings are one of Indiana’s most elite marching ensembles. This group currently holds the Indiana record for most consecutive trips to the ISSMA State Marching Band Finals: 38 times.

Concert Bands

At the conclusion of the Marching Kings’ season, high school students transition to playing their instruments indoors in a concert setting. Concert bands at Lewis Cass present three concerts per year, plus a trip to ISSMA organizational contest.

Junior High Bands

6th, 7th, and 8th grade students at Lewis Cass have the option to participate in year-round concert bands that meet every day during school. They participate in all three band concerts, play at ISSMA Solo and Ensemble, and enjoy many other bonding activities together.

Winter Percussion

Students that possess a desire to continue marching in the winter have the option with Lewis Cass’ Winter Winds ensemble. This group is 100% extra-curricular, and is extremely competitive within the IPA and WGI circuits. The Lewis Cass Winds are proud recipients of the 2019 IPA Scholastic A state championship.

Color Guard

The LC Color Guard is open to any current student at Lewis Cass High School, and 6-8th grade students also have the ability to participate in clinics and lessons. The Color Guard performs with both the Marching Kings and Winter Winds groups, and practices almost year-round.
